Neck is most susceptible to wrinkles, unwanted folds and double chin. A proportionate neck on woman's body improves her beauty. Therefore, it is very essential to take good neck care.
Neck care tips:
- The first thing to keep in mind is to stop thinking that your face stops at your chin. Consider your neck as an extension of your face. Remember that whenever you wash your face, you must also wash your neck. If you apply foundation or a loose powder on your face, remember to apply it to your neck too or there will be an unpleasant color difference between your face and your neck. Apply moisturizing cream to your neck along with the face regularly. Massage your neck towards the chin using upward strokes with gentle hands.
- In order to avoid sagging neck muscles or a double chin, hold your head high with your chin up and slightly forward.
- The skin of neck is more prone to the damage caused by the harmful sunrays. Thus, do not forget to use a good sunscreen before you move out.
- Avoid using pillows for sleeping, or if you cannot completely avoid them then at least use lower pillows. It will stop your neck from curling down and will help it stretch correctly.
Home Remedies
There are some home remedies to cleanse and soften the skin on your neck.
- Prepare a skin tonic by combining 3 teaspoons of borax powder, 2 tablespoons of glycerin and 2 cups of rose water. You can also apply this tonic on your arms and shoulders.
- Combine equal parts of lanolin and butter. Beat them carefully in a double saucepan over boiling water. Massage this cream over your neck and shoulders in upward motions. Leave it on overnight and wash it in the morning.
Neck Exercises
If you are facing with problem like too flabby neck because of the extra weight that you have put on then, try to lose the extra weight, by doing some neck exercises.
Here are a few simple exercises to tighten those neck muscles.
- Breathe gradually and bring your neck down to rest on the chest. Then lift your head gradually and bend it backwards as far as you can.
- One more neck exercise is to inhale deeply and turn your neck on your left side as far as possible without moving your shoulders and body. Repeat these exercises at least ten times daily.
