Many people suffer from the problem of dry skin acne, but it is not as usual as the other dry skin troubles. As all know, oily skin is more prone to the problem of acne than dry skin. Excess oil in the skin is not the only reason to develop acne, but the trouble can also begin with the clogged pore. These clogged pores are more on the dry skin, which are responsible for acne. In order to prevent the problem of acne you have to keep the skin moisturized. - Commercial soaps are sometimes very harsh and can become too drying for the skin. This is because they are added with the chemicals that can irritate your skin. One should regularly cleanse the skin using some oil, which will not clog pores on the skin. Olive oil is considered excellent as it acts as an effective moisturizer as well as cleanser. One should massage the skin with Caster oil and Olive oil for minimum three minutes. It is recommended to put a steaming towel on the skin until it becomes completely cool and then properly wipe away the oil.
- Various acne lotions contain strong chemicals such as benzoyl peroxide, which act strong for the skin. Instead of these creams, the diluted oil of tea tree is also considered good for dry skin acne. It acts equally effective antimicrobial oil as that of benzoyl peroxide. It is advisable to dip cotton into this oil, then into the water and further apply the oil on the skin acne. This process should be repeated three times a day.
- The problem of dry skin acne is caused mainly in the winter. To protect your skin from this problem, it is essential to keep it away from the extreme temperatures, especially winter cold. It is recommended to cover your skin while going out.
- Raw oats can be applied to the skin to remove dead and dry skin cells and unclog the pores on skin without drying it. Oats are rich in nutrients and good for moisturizing the skin. One should wash the skin with warm water, massage raw oats on it for about 3 to 4 minutes and then rinse the skin off with clean water.
- The oral medications are considered effective to treat acne on dry skin.
- An effective remedy for acne on dry skin is to use a mixture containing melt bees-wax, almond oil, coconut oil and lanolin. It is recommended to stir this mixture well on the medium heat gradually adding orange flower water to it. When this mixture becomes thick, it should be removed from heat, cooled a little and kept in a bottle to use when needed.
