Dry skin disorders are common, but need appropriate treatments. If left untreated in the primary stages, these disorders can cause severe skin troubles. Dermatitis or eczema: This is the most common skin disorder caused due to dry skin. It is worst and severe dry skin problem. It aggravates very easily and is quite difficult to manage. This is nothing but serious dry skin allergy. When your skin is attacked by dermatitis, it develops inflammation, patches and rashes on it. One feels the skin very uncomfortable when it is attacked by this skin disease. The eczema skin needs to be treated immediately in its earlier stage. If you waste time in taking necessary steps to protect your skin from this disorder, it can reach the severe conditions. If not treated properly, the skin starts itching; sometimes the skin on foot may bleed. One should avoid scratching the skin affected by this disorder as it may turn into worse conditions.
Psoriasis:
Similar as eczema, this is one of the worse skin disorders. There is no definite cure for this disorder. Usually people, who suffer from this disease, continue to deal with it throughout their lives. The symptoms of psoriasis are dry, itchy and red skin accompanied most of the times by flaking and bleeding.
Xerosis:
This is basic and general term used for problem of dry skin. When the skin naturally becomes dry and rough, it is said that skin is suffered with xerosis. This disorder is caused due to the decrease in skin moisture. The common causes of this skin disease are taking bath for longer time and more than twice a day. This is caused by continuously using cold water for skin wash. Another common cause is exposing your skin to extreme cold temperatures. The use of inappropriate skin care products or excessive use of these products can also harm your skin.
Eyelids Inflammation or Blepharitis: The main cause of this dry skin problem is exposure of skin to smoke and harsh sunlight or lack of proper sleep. In this disorder, the skin on the eyelids becomes dry, swollen and red. Your eyes can appear pale and tired. The skin around the eyes becomes itchy and rough. The skin around eyes is very sensitive; therefore, one should avoid scratching or even touching the irritated skin area. Before trying any medicines, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist. Any wrong medication or treatment can cause a big harm to the delicate skin on eyelids.
The younger and healthy looking skin has a lot to do with beauty. The skin attacked with the dry skin disorders appears very dull, rough and old. These diseases can be easily kept under control if treated in the preliminary stages. Above mentioned are few common dry skin disorders.
