  • To protect your babies skin from drying, bath them less frequently for shorter time. It is advisable to keep the daily bath of your babies for about 15-20 minutes a day. Babies really do not need the long baths of 30-35 minutes. The frequent and long bathing removes natural oils and moisture from your babies skin. This leads their skin to dry out. It is beneficial to bath your baby with little warm water.
  • Before bathing your babies, it is recommended to massage their bodies with little oil for 10-15 minutes. This will help to keep their skin soft.
  • After bath, apply your baby's skin with good moisturizer. It is necessary to use the moisturizers recommended by doctor for your babies skin. One should see to it that these moisturizers contain no chemicals. The creams containing harsh fragrances and perfumes are also not harmful for newborn babies skin.
  • Grape seed oil or olive oil work as an excellent alternative for baby skin moisturizers. It is recommended not to use chlorine water or salt water to dry out infant's skin as they lead to the depletion of natural moisture and oils from body.
  • When the newborn babies are hungry, feed them essentially with breast milk as it helps to keep them hydrated.
  • It is beneficial to use a humidifier in the bedroom where your baby sleeps regularly. It is necessary to buy soap-free cleansers for your baby.

Newborn babies have highly sensitive skin and they suffer a lot with dry skin allergies. One has to take care of the skin of infants as it can get serious damages from the environment and other factors.
