Cheek Makeup

The third step is to apply blusher to your cheeks. Cheek makeup tips are here. Blush highlights the attractive contours of the face and brightens a pale complexion. Blushers can be either in powder or cream form. Cream blusher is best used with cream/liquid foundation. Oil-based blushers can plug up pore, whereas powder blushes do not tend to cause skin problems.

Powder, as a finishing touch over foundation, and blush will take the shine off the skin. This will serve to de-emphasize the shadows caused by creases and furrows. Loose, translucent powder is usually recommended, as it leaves a smooth finish and allows the underlying color of the skin to be seen. Powder blush lasts longer, but needs to be very well blended.

Warm shades of rust, pale brown, bronze and tan brushed lightly across the cheekbones can enhance your appearance. Avoid maroon slashes across the cheeks. Subtlety is the key. A blush with a shine in it gives a more natural look.
