Asian Skin Care Products

Skin is the largest sensory organ of the human body. It is also a natural protective covering of the body and the first thing people see when you meet them. It is for this reason, women take good care of the skin to keep it smooth and supple. Regular and appropriate care for your skin leads to flawless and radiant skin. Some are inherited and blessed with flawless skin. Skin care regime and skin conditions vary as per your skin type, geographical location and age. Asians have a different skin type compared to Caucasians, and, therefore, they require different skin care treatment. Asian skin is usually yellowish in color and the skin tone varies as per the region they are residing in and their origin. The yellow color of the skin is because of excess melanin in the skin. In spite of excess melanin in the skin, Asians are prone to pigmentation, age spots and freckles owing to severe climatic conditions. This article on Asian skin care products will help us know the products that are suitable for Asian skin and what problems they face.

Common skin conditions faced by Asians

  • Acne: Most Asian countries have hot and humid climate, and thus Asians are more prone to acne. Their skin becomes oily which results in clogging of pores and the formation of acne. Even the pores are quite large in Asian skin compared to other skin types, which lead to skin irritation and acne. It is necessary for Asians to exfoliate the skin to keep acne at bay.
  • Skin pigmentation or dark spots: Owing to regular exposure to the sun, pigmentation and dark spots are common in Asian skins. To avoid pigmentation and dark spots, one must use a good sunscreen.
  • Dryness of the skin: Asia experiences extreme climatic conditions, which has a bad effect on the skin. During summers, the oil secretion from the skin is too high and during winters it is too less. This results in dryness of skin.
  • Skin irritation: Asian skin is very sensitive, and therefore if they use products made for people residing in other continents, then it leads to skin irritation. Some other causes for skin irritation are stress, hormonal imbalance and other factors within the body.

Asian skin care routine

  • The face needs to be washed regularly with a mild face wash. People with oily skin should wash their face more often.
  • Cleansing needs to be done regularly. Choose a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type.
  • To clean the skin deeply, a mild scrub should be used. The scrub can be used only twice a week.
  • Toning is also essential to remove the dirt that is left behind after cleansing. Toning helps to reduce the pores and balance the pH level of the skin.
  • A good moisturizer is a must for people with dry skin. Moisturizers can be used repeatedly as per your skin requirements.
  • A sunscreen with SPF 15 to 30 is also very essential to protect the skin from the sunrays. If you spend more time in the sun, a stronger sunscreen should be used.
