Herbal skin care products are mostly found in places that are blessed with natural vegetation and good environment. Herbal products are almost similar to ayurvedic products, as ayurvedic products are made from herbs. But there is a minor difference between them. Herbal products are extracted from plant sources, whereas ayurveda products are made from herbs along with substances like oil and some organic part of living organism. Herbal skin care not only talks about treatment but also your daily food intake for a glowing skin. Herbal skin care tips:

  • One should drink at least 8 glasses of water each day
  • As soon as you wake up in the morning, drink a glass of water mixed with honey to keep your skin shiny and smooth
  • Food rich in vitamin A and C should be consumed
  • Prepare beetroot juice by cutting them into small pieces and grinding them. Squeeze juice from beetroot and massage it on to the face for 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, take a shower with a mild soap or gram flour
  • Make a paste from sandalwood powder and rose water. Add 4 to 5 drops of milk to it. Apply the paste on to your face and body. Keep for fifteen minutes. Shower with warm water.
  • To moisturize your skin, massage your skin with milk. This will make your skin smooth.
  • A mixture of turmeric, sandal powder and olive oil can be applied to the body, fifteen minutes prior to your shower
  • Room temperature should be moderate to prevent dry skin
  • For a fair and smooth skin, grate carrot and boil it. Apply the mixture to the body and face.
  • Natural bleaching can be done by mixing milk and lemon juice. The milk breaks as soon as you add lemon to it. Apply the mixture to your body. This works as a natural bleach
  • Sun tanning is very natural if you spend a lot of time in the sun. To get your normal skin color, take equal quantities of cucumber juice and tomato juice, and apply on the skin. Take a shower after 10 minutes.
  • Turmeric and milk cream is also a natural moisturizer that bring a bright glow to your skin
  • Wrinkles are formed because of sodium deficiency. Cucumbers are helpful for combating and preventing sodium deficiency. It also helps in keeping your body cool and acts as a great summer treat
  • The absence of fluorine in the body leads to scaly skin. When vegetable are cooked and heated, the fluorine content of it is destroyed, and therefore it is advisable to eat uncooked raw fruits and vegetables
  • To avoid skin rashes, eat plenty of sprouts, tomatoes, barley, spinach, strawberries and figs. This helps to provide silicon to your body and thereby prevents rashes
