How to Get Rid of Athlete's Foot?
Athlete's foot is a general problem seen in athletes. However, you should understand that it is not a problem restricted to them only. Your foot may also be vulnerable to this skin problem. It usually develops in the area between the toes, toenails and fingernails. A fungus named 'Tinea pedis', which spread in moist and warm places, like showers and swimming pools, causes athlete's foot. The symptoms of the athlete's foot are that the area becomes red or white, with the appearance of cracks, scales, cuts, blisters and painful inflammation. This may often lead to a burning and itching sensation.

Dirty socks and shoes can also create a threat to your foot and lead to the growth of fungus on them. The cure for this problem should be implemented as soon as possible. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is found to be one of the excellent remedies for athlete's foot. In four teaspoons of water, dilute two teaspoons of tea tree oil. Apply the solution on the infected area. Massage the area thoroughly for ten minutes. Rinse off the solution with warm water and dry your feet. By doing it regularly, you will find positive change within a few days.
Talcum Powder
Talcum powder can assist you get rid of athlete's foot effortlessly. Massage your feet with talcum powder before wearing shoes. The talcum powder will take in the moisture retained in the shoe, thereby keeping your feet dry.
Herbal Bleach
Mix a few drops of herbal bleach in some quantity of water. Soak your feet in this mixture for 10 minutes. After soaking your feet, dry them with a clean towel. Undertake the process before going to bed. For best result, do it daily.
Hydrogen Peroxide
As hydrogen peroxide is a strong chemical, it is recommended to use a little bit only. Dab the infected region of your feet with a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide. The chemical will form a bubble, which means that it is working on the infection. Rinse off the chemical using water. Repeat three times a day, for good results.
Apple Cider Vinegar
The acid content of vinegar kills infectious fungi. Take warm water in a pedicure bowl. Add two tbsp of apple cider vinegar in the water. Soak your infected feet in the bowl for about 10 minutes. Dry your feet well with a clean towel. Do this for a few days and look for the positive change.
Mouthwash
The mouthwash not only prevents bad breath, it also helps to get rid of athlete's foot as well. Massage the infected area with a few drops of mouthwash. Leave it for five minutes, and then rinse the area with cool water. Dry your feet with a soft towel.
Epsom Salt
Epsom salt acts on the fungi and kills it effectively. Make a footbath by mixing 2 tablespoons of Epsom salts in warm water. Soak your feet in the solution for about 15 minutes. After drying your feet, apply moisturizer on the area. Do this at least twice a week.

- Keep your feet dry, after washing them.
- Change your socks regularly. Use breathable socks, made of cotton.
- Keeping the inner portion of your footwear clean is very necessary. Clean the moisture inside your shoes using a cotton cloth.
- It is recommended to use footwear that allows your feet to breathe.
