Avoid Smoking
Smoking, as everyone knows, is detrimental for our health. It is also an enemy of the skin as it speeds up the appearence of wrinkles. To recognize it as such is the first step towards finding an antidote.
Tobacco and oxygen
The oxygen content of the skin decreases with age. So too does its softness and elasticity. Smoking does nothing at all to help: with the intake of nicotine the epidermis gets thinner, the elastin slackens and the skin dehtdrates, whilst the tar in cigarettes multiplies the production of free radicals which cause aging.
Only one answer
There is only one answer: give up smoking. Of course this is usually a lot easier said than done. No technique is going to work that well if you haven't truly taken the decision to stop. If you are ready to give up, then there are a range of methods you can try: patches, acupuncture, homeopathy, plants, auriculotherapy, psychotherapy, group counselling and so on.
Some Facts about Avoiding Smoking
- Stop smoking. Tobacco suffocates the skin.
- Help yourself by trying acupuncture, homeopathy, support groups etc.
- Use an oxygenating cream on your skin.
