How to Get Radiant Skin

We all know that our periods affect your skin just as they do much as our moods. Shiny skin, a drawn look...and your regular treatment doesn't help. But cheer up - there are ways to be radiant every day, every month. Radiant skin cream also play vital role in periods.

Did you say hormones?
When you have your period your body is depleted of energy, making you feel tired and down, and often giving you a drawn look. This is in fact caused by a hormonal imbalance. The hormones prepare the body for pregnancy throughout the monthly cycle, releasing more oestrogen in the first two weeks and more progesterone in the last two weeks. The days in the middle when the hormones levels are switching, and the days of the period itself are when your skin is most vulnerable, and it is at these times you should take extra special care of it.

Think plants

  • The skin on your cheeks and around the eyes may appear stretched or pulled. If this is the case, apply a hydrating mask to irrigate and retain surface water.
  • For shininess on the wings of the nose, use an absorbent clay mask.
  • If you have an outbreak of spots, after cleansing you should apply a cotton bud dipped in lavender oil directly onto them. Lavender is a natural disinfectant and astringent and is one of the rare essential oils which can be used on the skin with no risk of reaction.
  • Drink herbal teas which can help your body at this difficult time: fennel, sage and camomile.

Some Facts about Radiant Skin
  • The hormonal changes brought about by the menstrual cycle upset the balance of the skin.
  • Take herbal teas for your complexion and essential oils for outbreaks of spots.
