Different types of Skin Diseases
- Cold sores:
Cold sores is also known as herpes simplex virus, Night Fever, or Fever Blister. The Cold sores is contagious, incurable, and sexually transmitted disease. It begins as a group of small red bumps. The first symptom is an unpleasant tingling feeling in the skin and after a short period, a number of fluid-filled blisters may appear on the skin.
- Contact dermatitis:
Contact dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin caused by direct contact with an irritating substance. the symptoms are itching, redness, pain, swelling, and the formation of small blisters or wheals on the skin.
- Creeping eruption:
Creeping eruption is also known as Cutaneous larvae migrans or Ancylostoma braziliense. It is a skin rash caused by the migration of dog or cat hookworm larvae beneath the skin. Creeping eruption is mostly found in warm climate countries. It affects children than adults. Snakelike tracks in the skin, itching are some of the symptoms of the Creeping eruption.
- Dandruff:
Dandruff is the excessive flaking of dead skin. The dandruff can be treated with specialized shampoos or common household remedies. Mostly the dandruff is a seasonal disease. The excessive use of gels and hairsprays, improper use of hair-coloring products, stress, anxiety and tension are some of the reasons of dandruff. Scaling and itching are the most common symptoms of the dandruff.
- Dermatitis:
Dermatitis is referred as eczema. Redness, itching, blishering are some of the symptoms of dermatitis. Corticosteroids, Immunomodulators, Moisturizing, Light Therapy are some the treatment methods for the dermatitis.

- cercarial dermatitis
- Atopic dermatitis
- nummular dermatitis
- dermatitis herpetiformis
- seborrhoeic dermatitis
- urushiol-induced contact dermatitis
- contact dermatitis
- dyshidrotic dermatitis
- Dermatitis herpetiformis:
Dermatitis herpetiformis is also known as Duhring's Disease. It is usually extremely itchy. It usually begins in young adults, and is more common some areas of northern Europe. Dermatitis herpetiformis is usually appears on the elbows, knees, back, and buttocks.
- Dermatofibroma:
Dermatofibroma is also called as histiocytoma. It is small, noncancerous, round, and brownish to red-purple growth. It is commonly found on the legs. This disease is usually painless. Dermatofibromas occur mostly in in women. Cryosurgery is used to remove a dermatofibroma.
- Diaper Rash:
Diaper rash is also known as napkin dermatitis, ammonia dermatitis, and Jacquet dermatitis or erythema. It is one type of irritant dermatitis. The contact irritation and bacteria or fungal organisms infections are two main reasons of diaper rash.
- Eczema:
Eczema is a form of dermatitis. It can be itchy. It is mostly appear on the face, on the fronts of the elbows, behind the ears, the backs of the knees, neck, the hands, and trunk.
- Epidermolysis bullosa:
Epidermolysis bullosa is characterized by the presence of extremely fragile skin and recurrent blister formation. It is not contagious.
