Do's And Don'ts For Dry Skin

Do's

  • Cleans thoroughly at night to remove make-up. In the morning, simply splash your face with lukewarm water.
  • Moisturize while your skin is still damp from cleansing.
  • Slather very dry skin with the heaviest moisturizer or cream you can tolerate.
  • Choose creamy, oil-rich make-up.
  • Prevent sun damage by using a string sunscreen daily.

Don'ts

  • Use a moisturizer that makes you breakout.
  • Use scrubs.

Home remedies for dry skin

  • Home Remedy - 1
    • Make a puree of 1 banana and 1 papaya, peach or avocado.
    • Apply it on the skin.
    • Leave it on the skin for at least 20 minutes.
    • Finally, rinse with warm water and use a moisturizer of natural margarine or natural vegetable oil.

  • Home Remedy - 2
    • Apply natural mayonnaise, either homemade or from natural foods store.
    • Massage into skin.
    • Leave it on the skin for 15-20 minutes.
    • Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

  • Home Remedy - 3
    • Add 1/2 teaspoon of rose water to 1 teaspoon of honey and gently apply to the face.
    • Leave it for about 15-20 minutes.
    • Wash off with tepid water.

  • Home Remedy - 4
    • Take 1/4 of an apple and cool it in the refrigerator.
    • Apply it on the skin.
    • Leave it on for 15 minutes.
    • Wash off with cool water.

  • Home Remedy - 5
    • Take 1 tablespoon of cream.
    • Stir lightly up to it becomes a smooth paste.
    • Apply to face and neck before bath.
