Protection Sun
Sun protection means to protect your body from the adverse effects of sunlight. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation of sunrays can cause sunburn and skin cancer, precancerous changes in the skin, as well as premature signs of aging.
You can protect yourself from the sun in the following ways:
- Wear clothing, which covers your arms, legs, back and neck.
- Wear wide brimmed hats to protect the face.
- Apply sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15-30.
Sunscreens include ultraviolet (UV) filters, which protects the skin from the ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB Sunscreens absorb or reflect the radiation, and therefore protect the skin. Sunscreen is effective in blocking UVA and UVB rays.
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. The sun protection factor (SPF) of a sunscreen lets you know how much longer you can stay in the sun without burning if you apply the sunscreen. SPFs only give a rating of sunburn protection.
However, you should use a sun block if you wish to prevent tanning as well as block the UVA and UVB rays. Sunscreen will not prevent tanning.
When you select a sunblock look for the active ingredients such as zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and titanium dioxide as they help to prevent tanning.
SPF numbers on a package can vary from as low as 2 to as high as 100. These numbers refer to the product's capability to screen or block out the sun's flaming rays. The exposure to sun depends upon a number of factors including the length of exposure, time of day, geographic location, and weather conditions.
Therefore, you can protect yourself from the sunrays by applying a sunscreen or sunblock.
